The Doctoral Consortium is a special session of the conference where Ph.D. students in the early phases of their research can receive advice in a constructive atmosphere. Students present and discuss their research with other Ph.D. students and a panel of established researchers in the area of persuasive technology.
Students interested in participating in the Doctoral Consortium should submit a 3-page project abstract, describing their research question(s), its position with respect to the state of the art, their research plans and methodology, ideas, and results achieved so far.
Accepted abstracts will be included in the Doctoral Consortium session after successful registration. The panel of established researchers will read these abstracts, and after a Ph.D. student’s presentation (closely linked to the abstract), the panel will give the Ph.D. student feedback on scientific contributions, future directions, methodology, etc.
When ready, submit your paper to email@example.com
Master students attending Persuasive2020 are invited to sign up for the Master Student Design competition. Participants will be divided into groups and presented with a real-life design challenge for which they are to propose a solution.
The Design competition is a 24 hour challenge conducted parallel to the Doctoral Consortium and provides the students with an opportunity to network and engage in interdiciplinary collaborations as part of their conference experience
