PERSUASIVE

TECHNOLOGY 2020

15th International Conference

April 20th – 23rd

Virtual event

Update – Adjunct proceedings are now availanle online

In light of the current CoVid19 crisis, Persuasive2020 is being transformed into a virtual event. While we would have loved to welcome everyone to Aalborg, now is the time to display togetherness by staying apart. In the past 14 conferences, participants have joined the conference from multiple continents, making the Persuasive Technology conferences an amazing platform for knowledge sharing and networking. However, with this year being an online event, the time difference does prove itself to be a challenge.

As a result, we have decided to skip real-time and run Persuasive2020 as a social media event, combining LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube as Platforms for this year’s conference.

  • On LinkedIn the group Persuasive Technology Network will host the event and tie together the different activities and more importantly, help everyone network. We will be sharing presentations and link each presentation to authors and to the publication.
  • On YouTube we are setting up a channel for all conference presentations, making them accessible both during the conference and afterwards.
  • On twitter, we will tweet about talks, discussions, votes and general activities, precisely as we have done at previous persuasive conferences.

Participation this year will be free of charge, and we are hopeful that this will be an opportunity for more people to join and for previous participants to reconnect. Sticking with tradition, the event will include awards for Best Paper, and this year we are also awarding Best Presentation and Best Poster.

Steps to take if you want to participate in Persuasive2020:

  1. If you do not already have a LinkedIn profile, please create one right away.
  2. If you are not already a member of the Persuasive Technology Network group, on LinkedIn please join right away.

Persuasive 2020

Persuasive Technology (PT) is a vibrant interdisciplinary research field focusing on the design, development, and evaluation of interactive technologies. Persuasive Technology aims at changing people’s attitudes or behaviours through persuasion and social influence, but with strong considerations regarding transparency and ethics. The Persuasive Technology conference brings together international researchers and practitioners from industry and academia who are working in the field of behaviour design and persuasive technologies. As a community, we aim at enriching people’s lives in various domains – e.g., health, safety, and the environment – by supporting their personal goals to change their behaviour.
